About Life Wild Sound

About Life Wild Sound

Life-Wild-Sound is a collection of thoughts and work in nature, sound and music by me - Catherine (Cat) Lee.

Admittedly my creative practice has slowed a little since I changed direction to work in conservation in 2010, but I hope to keep my toe in the water so to speak, so please do keep checking in.

I currently work for a conservation charity in Cornwall. Before I moved here in 2010, I worked as a freelance sound artist on the east coast of Scotland. As well as my own creative practice in experimental music and interactive installation I worked on a wide variety of projects, running sound and listening workshops at Dundee Contemporary Arts Centre, working on aural history and documentary film projects, as well as creating music for adverts and soundtracks and scores for low budget films.

Between 2002 - 2009 I studied for a BA Hons in Time Based Art and an MSc in Sound Art & Design (funded by AHRC) at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee University

Through my time in the arts and in my NGO career my purpose has centred around inspiring proactivity and bringing people and planet closer together to help develop more mutually beneficial relationships. So despite the slight change in direction the purpose remains the same.

Thanks for popping by, I hope you enjoy looking at and listening to these endeavours. :-)
